Experience

Cole Cook is a Los Angeles native who has been around baseball his whole life. At Palisades High School Cole was an All City, All State, and All American selection before deciding not to turn pro and go to college. At Pepperdine University Cole was named All WCC and was again an All American before being drafted in the 5th round by the Cleveland Indians in 2010. During his time with the Indians, Cole pitched four seasons, reaching AAA in 2012 & 2013. Cole retired from professional athletics in 2014 in order to pursue a career in Television Writing.

Cole has been coaching players of all ages for 10 years, moving some students on to college programs and beyond. As a former pitcher, Cole's expertise is in pitching mechanics, as well as arm strength and pitch development. Cole has been lucky enough to work with coaching greats like Tom House (pitching coach to Nolan Ryan, Mark Prior) , Mickey Calloway (active Cleveland Indians pitching coach) and Scott Erickson (1991 All Star and 2nd in Cy Young voting), and he uses the techniques that were taught to him as well as the tips and tricks he implemented during his career. As a student of the game, Cole is comfortable teaching hitting and fielding to high school caliber players and below.

Cole promotes a fun, supportive environment for his students. He aims to be a teacher first and a coach second - hopefully a friend or mentor third. Cole wants to create personal relationships with his students and he believes that players learn faster and learn more when supported and pushed to succeed. Through positivity, varied drill work, and positive reinforcement, Cole Cook wants to help your child get to the next level.
